What began as an oblique strategy to source a mixtape solely from analog media (VHS, vinyl, cassette) evolved into a 3-year deep web search for continuity within the social violence & data smog of empire. In this eletric age, a plethora of media are open to us through which to extend teh central nervous system. What is it that remains once information has fertilized in acquisition?

MEDIA EMPIRE explores expired dimensions of recent modernity, the supposed speed of information, and the culture of violence surrounding identity. Using an eclectic survey of vanguardist music, info bytes, sound effects. television jingles, and pirated samples. What is the psychic impact of endless information? To what extent, if any, is technology neutral?
